Why Built by Koop
This is a father-daughter business built on something we’ve both spent careers developing: the discipline to understand how a business actually works, and the tools to make it work better.
We founded Built by Koop because too many businesses operate below their potential — not from lack of effort, but from systems that were never designed to scale. We’ve seen it on manufacturing floors, in fitness gyms, in fast-growing operations teams. The pattern is consistent, and so is the solution: clear processes, the right tools, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We are not a large firm. We keep our work focused, our clients close, and our standards high. When you work with Built by Koop, you work directly with us.
Two generations. One mission. Built the right way.
Industrial engineer. Began at Texas Instruments, later built and ran a fitness gym, then spent more than 25 years with TMAC guiding Texas manufacturers toward measurable performance improvement. Deep expertise in operations, lean methodology, and the practical realities of running a business.
Industrial engineer from Iowa State. Currently in operations at Factur, building systems that help manufacturing businesses scale. Brings modern tools, automation thinking, and an athlete’s approach to performance — structured, iterative, and execution-focused.
